GSI Empowers 40 Youth Leaders on Gender Equality & Social Inclusion
The Gudumale Sustainability Initiative recently hosted an interactive awareness session for 40 youth leaders to advance understanding of Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI). The workshop focused on dismantling systemic barriers, promoting equitable participation, and integrating marginalized voices in community development.

Facilitators used role-playing, case studies, and group discussions to address topics like gender bias, inclusive leadership, and policy advocacy. Participants explored strategies to champion GESI in local projects, emphasizing its role in achieving sustainable development goals.
Organizers highlighted the urgency of youth-led action: “Empowering young leaders with GESI principles ensures more inclusive, resilient communities,” said Mr Biniyam Tessema. Attendees pledged to apply insights in their initiatives, from education campaigns to grassroots advocacy.
