Gudumale Sustainability Initiative Leads International Youth Day 2025 Climate Action Dialogue in Hawassa
As part of the global celebration of International Youth Day 2025, Gudumale Sustainability Initiative (GSI) took the lead in organizing a high-level youth engagement forum in Hawassa. The event brought together young leaders, policymakers, and community representatives to reflect on the role of youth in advancing climate action and sustainable development.
The forum created a vibrant platform for dialogue, knowledge sharing, and collective action, with a strong emphasis on environmental protection and the active participation of young people.
Melese Alemayehu, Founder and Executive Director of GSI, served as one of the distinguished panelists. In his remarks, he shared critical insights on climate action, stressing the importance of youth leadership in building resilient communities. He also highlighted GSI’s ongoing role in mobilizing and empowering young people to take the lead in environmental protection initiatives across the region.
